Perl has the Perl quiz, Python has the Python challenges, Ruby has the Ruby quiz, but what about our good old friend R?? Does such a thing exist anywhere? Would be a nice idea I think...

Why not simply use the R-help mailinglist? Basically it functions as a quiz most of the time, without the 48-hour waiting period as is customary with the ruby quiz.
What we simple need is a couple of great puzzels, a coordinator and a blog / wiki that gathers the sollutions.
Any volunteers?

Well you could look at the first r programming competition as a start: http://user2007.org/competition/

Everyone loves R (at least until they start dealing with large data sets), but c'mon: part of its virtue is that it's not icky like Perl. Python seems really out of place here, as its virtue is the one Minnesota Fats espoused in an early tutorial: always take the easy shot.
