Juan Sebastián Galán

Juan Sebastián is a PhD student in Political Economy and Government at Harvard University. His broad research interests lie in the political economy of development, with a particular focus on state formation, civil war and clientelism. His current research examines the persistence of inequality as well as the dynamics of paramilitarism in Colombia. He holds a MA and a BA in economics from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. Prior to coming to Harvard, he worked at Universidad de los Andes and the Inter-American Development Bank.
