Through HMDC desktop support, IQSS is the local IT service provider for the Center for Government and International Studies (CGIS) community. We share the vicinity with our users both physically and professionally, which allows us to offer our clients timely, specialized, and customized IT services in addition to common IT support. We also work closely with Harvard and FAS IT departments to provide our users with the best resources and services available in Harvard.

Local IT Desktop Support
We provide professional, timely, and friendly desktop computer support for residents of the CGIS complex. Our staff can recommend hardware purchases, help you connect computers to the network, install and configure software, and set up printers. We can help you with your questions about email, virus protection, SPAM protection, file access, back ups, and other issues with your desktop computers.

Public Lab Desktop Support
Desktop computer support for public lab machines in the Center for Government and International Studies (CGIS) are provided by our affiliate, the Harvard-MIT Data Center. These labs are located on the concourse level of CGIS Knafel as well as on the the third floor.
Desktop computer support for CGIS public lab machines are provided by the Lab Help Desk. For locations, account eligibility, access, available software, and other information about the labs, please visit the Public Labs pages on our web site.
