IQSS is pleased to announce that it has selected a member of the Harvard community, Cristin L. Rothfuss, as its new Executive Director. Rothfuss brings to the role strategic, analytic, and leadership experience derived from a twenty-year legal career. Most recently, she was the Director of Technology Transactions for Harvard’s Office of Technology Development, where she played an integral role in efforts to advance Harvard innovations through licensing, sponsored research, and new venture agreements with industry partners. Her career prior to Harvard ranged from judicial clerk for the Connecticut Appellate Court, to litigation associate for several private law firms, to in-house counsel and director of intellectual property for a biotechnology company. "It is a testimony to the strength of the staff and research community at IQSS that we were able to attract someone as talented as Cris to this critical role," said Gary King, Director of IQSS. "I'm thrilled to have her on board."

In her new role, Rothfuss is responsible for the overall strategic, programmatic, financial, and personnel management of IQSS. Said Rothfuss, “In seeking a new path in administrative leadership, I was focused on remaining of service at Harvard. That I have been given the opportunity to do so at an institute as dynamic as IQSS is tremendously exciting.”
