Andy Harris is a second-year Ph.D student in Government at Harvard. He received a BA in Economics and Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis. His research interests include the political economy of Africa, economic development, local governance, and the legacy of colonialism in Africa.
Andy is currently working with a project on institutional change and demography among East African pastoralist groups with Ken Shepsle. Additionally, he is developing a dissertation proposal analyzing the success of decentralization programs in Africa.
