Cindy Smith

Assistant Director, ideas42

Cindy Smith is the Assistant Director at ideas42. In this position she is responsible for creating and implementing the administrative strategy and internal governance of the research initiative "ideas42". Primary responsibilities include all aspects of the group's financial, grant management, operations and human resources. Prior to joining the initiative in October 2008, Cindy spent over six years at the Harvard School of Public Health as a Program Administrator for the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research, where she spent a large amount of time working with a partner organization in Brussels, Belgium (and still misses the waffles and chocolate to this day!). Before coming to Harvard in 2002, Cindy worked in various industries of the private sector in the capacity of Office/Operations Management. She gained international and cultural experience during a two year Office Management position in the Republic of Ireland. Cindy received a B.S. from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.
