Dmitry’s research interests are in behavioral economics, specifically, social motivation, time discounting, and market implications of consumer biases. Using a combination of theory, lab experiments, and field experiments, Dmitry works on topics such as optimal taxation when consumers are inattentive to energy costs, and the structure of social norms governing public goods provision, workplace behavior, and other social interactions. He obtained his B.A. in applied mathematics from Harvard in 2009.
