Eliana Carranza

Eliana Carranza is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Economy and Government program at Harvard Kennedy School. She holds an MPA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico in Peru, where she was a Junior Professor in the Department of Economics prior to coming to Harvard.  She is an author of studies on social protection systems. Her main fields of study are labor economics, development economics and comparative politics. Her research interests include political economy of development, particularly the links among inequality, social expenditure and social mobility.
