Jamaica Baldwin

Office Manager, IQSS Core Staff

After spending time in Santa Cruz, Seattle, Washington, DC and Brooklyn, Jamaica Baldwin has finally settled in New England long enough to join the team as the Office Manager for IQSS, where she has been properly warned that the candy bowl is to be stocked at all times. A California gal by birth, she received her B.A. in Afro-American Studies from Smith College in 2008. She has a background in performing arts, including acting and dance, and she is particularly fond of salsa. She was dissuaded from a career working on fishing boats after an unfortunate incident involving jellyfish and her face. In other previous work experience, she would assist clients like Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave) and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam.) A couple of years ago, she was picked to dance onstage with Prince during a concert at Seattle’s Key Arena. She used to think if she could be any animal, she would be a cat, but she has revised that opinion and now would prefer to be a horse. She would like to learn the tango. And if anyone can offer an explanation on how her condo in Winthrop can get re-cycling service, she would be very grateful.
