Jeremy Barofsky is a first-year doctoral student at the Harvard School of Public Health in health economics. His interests include the connection between economic development, health and demographics, comparative insurance design, and the evolution of social norms and institutions. He was a Masters' Fellow at the Harvard Initiative for Global Health from 2005-2007 where he focused on Mexico's recent health-system reform and the measurement of US hospital performance. He also spent a summer at the Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico, engineering a new trading strategy for a stock market computer simulation. Jeremy holds an M.A. in economics from Boston University.
