Currently a PhD candidate in Economics at Johns Hopkins University, Jon Samuels previously worked at IQSS as an economics research analyst and programmer. Ongoing research includes: The role of Information Technology in Economic Growth, U.S. Aggregate Productivity, Industry Level Productivity, International Comparisons of Growth and Productivity, U.S-Japan Comparisons, and Architecture of the U.S. National Accounts. Prior to coming to Harvard, Samuels was a Junior Economist at Primark Decision Economics where he did economic forecasting. A native of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Samuels received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
