Karen Gold is a Statistics Lecturer and Faculty Associate at the
Institute for Quantitative Social Science. She received her Ph.D. from
U.C.L.A.. Dr Gold's joins Harvard from a career in statistical consulting
in Applied Statistics and Psychometrics actively publishing in instrument
development, secondary data analysis of national databases and real world
outcomes studies. Her research interests include instrument development
and quasi-experimental and observational study design in the social
sciences and secondary analysis of large-scale data sets. Prior to her
consulting career, Dr. Gold was on the faculty of University of Maryland,
College Park and Georgetown University. She has been a visiting scholar
at ETS, Gothenburg University in Sweden and Beijing University in the PRC.
