Luka is a political and economic strategist, publicist and researcher.
As a researcher (and IQSS Associate), Luka is currently working on a quantitative political analysis project in Russia with Prof. Gary King. Luka has also conducted research of Southeast European political history with Prof. Niall Ferguson. He also lectures at the University of Zagreb Law Faculty on international economic relations and economic policy and has recently contributed to a book to be published by Springer.
Luka is also a political and economic strategist and heads the research of a Southeastern Europe focused advisory and advises a number of political and economic risk consultancies and institutional investors on geopolitical risk, strategy and economic reform in Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS and the Middle East.
Luka's writing appears in his column for the Moscow Times and he is a regular contributor to the Financial Times and London School of Economics' publications. His writing has also appeared and was cited by Roubini Global Economics, the Wall Street Journal, World Politics Review, Russia Beyond the Headlines, Acque&Terre, the UN Chronicle and others. Luka is a history and government concentrator from Harvard University.
