Melanie Penny graduated from Stanford University with a degree in
Political Science and is currently enrolled in the joint program in
Sociology and Social Policy. Her dissertation research uses a
combination of experimental, survey, and interview methods to explore
the effects of residents' perceptions on the organizational process
within Boston communities. Melanie's research interests
include race, media, stigma, and the law.
