Molly Gowen Groome

GIS Analyst and Webmaster, Center for Geographic Analysis

Molly Groome earned a M.S. in marine geology from Duke University, and a B.S. in geology from Tufts University. Her Masters thesis involved quantification of sidescan-sonar imagery for natural-resource evaluation offshore of Puerto Rico. She worked with the U.S. Geological Survey in Menlo Park, CA for nine years performing remote sensing, image processing, GIS application development and web development. With the CGA, she is the webmaster and manages the training, software and data distribution logistics. Her special interests include customization of the ArcGIS user interface.
