Nahomi is an Assistant Professor of Government. She was an Academy Scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies from 2004 to 2006. Professor Ichino’s research interests include the politics and political economy of sub-Saharan Africa; the development of political parties and competitive electoral politics in developing countries, with a particular focus on the use and impact of violence and clientelism; and regional inequality and conflicts within African states. She has conducted fieldwork in Ghana and Nigeria, and in the 2006-07 academic year, she will offer a junior seminar on political parties and a graduate seminar on African politics.
