Roel Torres has been part of the Harvard family since 1991, when he began his undergraduate studies at the school. He spent four years working in the College Dean's Office in College Life and Student Services before joining the team at the Institute. Previously he's worked as an advertising copywriter, a literary publicist, a humanitarian coordinator, and as a screenwriter for a series of critically-acclaimed travel documentaries that have been broadcast to 128 countries around the world.
Roel graduated from Harvard in three years with Honors, picking up his degree in English and American Literature in 1994. When he's not cranking out Excel worksheets for the Institute, he likes to spend his spare time painting and finishing up his novel. He has played lead guitar in a handful of bands in Asia, Boston and New York, organized humanitarian relief efforts in different crisis zones across the globe (as administrator of the Fordham IDHA International Humanitarian Assistance Program), and he knows much more about professional wrestling than he should.
