Shelley Ranii is a senior concentrating in Government in Quincy House. As an IQSS Undergraduate Affiliate, she works with Professor Daniel Ziblatt on suffrage reform and disenfranchisement in the post-Reconstruction American South through state-by-state role call voting analysis. She is also currently working on her senior thesis, a comparative study of determinants of homelessness policies across major American cities.

Shelley serves as the Chair of the Institute of Politics Policy Group on Homelessness in Massachusetts, a student think tank which is researching and drafting homelessness policy recommendations for the Massachusetts State House. She is also the Advocacy Director at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, where she manages a transitional housing program for employed shelter guests. She is involved with the International Relations Council, the Harvard College Marathon Challenge and Delta Gamma.

Shelley originally hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Fox Chapel Area High School in 2004.
