Stephanie Morain is a third-year doctoral student in Health Policy in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Her main research interests are in the ethics of public health and the application of a mixed methods approach to health policy resesarch, particularly survey methodology, qualitative studies, and normative analysis. Her current work, funded through a grant by the Greenwall Foundation, examines the moral legitimacy of public health interventions and the legitimate scope of government authority to address non-communicable disease. She is a graduate of the MPH program in History and Ethics at Columbia University and the Biology and History, Government, and Law programs at Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
