Tanya Rosenblat is an Assistant Professor of Economics and a Tutor in the College of Social Studies at Wesleyan University. Her research interests are in experimental economics and economic theory. Her theoretical work in monetary economics addresses the role of institutions in transitions between different monetary regimes. She is also interested in the impact of lower communication costs on the structure of social interactions. Her experimental work investigates the formation of social capital in helping games, the role of non-resume variables (such as confidence and physical attractiveness) on wage setting in experimental labor markets, the effect of social networks on retirement savings decisions, and sequential move games with information costs. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
