Weiqi is a freshman at the College. As an Institute Undergraduate Scholar, he is working with Professor Peter Bol of the East Asian Studies Department on a GIS research of Chinese local historical geography. The whole project, The China Historical Geographic Information System (CHGIS), is aimed to establish a database of populated places and historical administrative units for the period of Chinese history between 222 BCE and 1911 CE.

Weiqi is from Shanghai China and graduated from Fudan University High School. On campus, he is a member of Harvard Ballroom Dance Team and a volunteer counselor of Chinatown Afterschool Program.
