You Jong-sung is a Ph. D. Candidate in Public Policy and Doctoral Fellow of Inequality and Social Policy Program. Before coming to Harvard, he was a prominent civil society leader in Korea. His dissertation research explores the mutually reinforcing relationship between income inequality and corruption and the adverse impact of inequality and corruption on social trust. His next research will examine the impact of corruption and social trust on redistribution and human development. His paper with Sanjeev Khagram entitled A Comparative Study of Inequality and Corruption was published in American Sociological Review (February 2005).
