If they grant you access, the host will need to navigate to the Manage Participants icon on the bottom of the screen, then click more next to the requestor's name, and finally click allow recording. If this is a Canvas configured Zoom meeting, the host/professor may or may not have the entire meeting set to record to share later. ### Zoom Courses: Does the meeting ID change if I setup recurring Zoom meetings in Canvas? expand\_more No. The meeting ID will remain the same throughout the recurring scheduled meetings. Any other meetings scheduled outside of these will take on a new meeting ID. ### Zoom Courses: Adding non-Harvard folks to Canvas course. expand\_more Non-Harvard guests can create an HarvardKey Light and be added by teaching staff to the Canvas course. This may work for sending section specific announcements. ### Can people without Harvard emails still join the scheduled Zoom meetings? expand\_more Yes, they can if you provide them the link for the session, and you will need to share the meeting ID's nine-digit code. ### Can I be signed into my laptop and desktop and run Zoom? expand\_more No, you can only be signed into Zoom on one device at a time. ### What speed should my connection be? expand\_more Harvard recommends an internet speed minimum of 4Mpbs download and upload and if possible the use of a wired connection. To link your accounts, click on the "Apps" link and search for Zoom. Once it pops up, click on it and it will message you with the following instructions: Hi @YourSlackName Welcome to the Zoom app on Slack. You can quickly start or join Zoom meetings here. Our first suggestion is to test before a meeting, check your connections, and verify the camera is selected in the appropriate options. ### What is Zoom Bombing? expand\_more A new term, "Zoom Bombing," is when people who have not been invited enter Zoom meetings to cause disruption. Such disruptions can be mild, or as we've seen elsewhere, can include racist, hate, or pornographic material. Here are some tips to alleviate this issue. **Judicious Sharing of Meeting Info:** Do not share the Meeting Link or ID on open platforms where anyone but the intended audience can see them. **Zoom Waiting Room:** This feature gives the host a lot more control over who is in the meeting, including controlling when participants join a meeting. How do I fix this? expand\_more Reassign the host responsibility to another participant and then have the participant reassign it back to the original Host. ### Zoom Courses: How do I setup recurring Zoom classes? expand\_more There is a schedule zoom meeting button at the top of the page under the Zoom tab in Canvas. Also, if you're teaching a zoom class via Canvas, you need to click start on the Zoom tab for the meeting you wish to host/join. Please contact us either by emailing: or calling our Help desk # (617) 495-4734 and we will contact the HUIT Zoom Admin to fix this issue for you on the server-side, and then after the meeting can figure out what might have caused this issue. ### How do I disable the Enter/Exit chime in a Zoom meeting? expand\_more 1.
