#  Dataverse Progress Report June 2013

 We released Dataverse versions 3.5 and 3.51 in June and July of 2013. New features of these versions include:

- (3.5) [Initial support of ingest of R data files](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/2854).
- (3.5) [Faceted search for Studies](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/2656).
- (3.5) Sub-networks for facilitating searching and organizing specific groups of Dataverses.
- (3.5.1) [Ability to request access to restricted files on a file-by-file basis (rather than the entire study).](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/2714)
- (3.5.1) New UI for Study Permissions Page.
- (3.5.1) [Ability to upload and extract .tar files.](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/3076)

 In addition we merged the CfA Dataverse Network into the Harvard Dataverse Network (formerly the IQSS Dataverse Network).

 We are currently working on version 3.6, which will include:

- [Initial implementation of Data Deposit API, with SWORDv.2 compliance.](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/3108)
- Initial support for DOIs
- [Handling of ordinals in R ingest.](https://redmine.hmdc.harvard.edu/issues/2928)
- Improvements to UI and user experience based upon [Usability Study](http://thedata.org/blog/dataverse-usability-evaluation-recommendations).
