My main research interests are related to formal semantics, pragmatics and the syntax-semantics interface. I am also interested in understanding how experimental investigations shed new light on linguistic topics such as countability distinctions, the interpretation of disjunction etc. In my recent work, I have investigated the role played by language in quantity judgment tasks (Who has more NoUN?, Barner & Snedeker 2005), and in particular the role played by linguistic cues to atomicity by conducting online experiments in English and in French.
