Dr. Daniel Ehls is visiting scholar at Harvard University, Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences (IQSS), at the Crowd Innovation Lab (formerly NASA Tournament Lab (NTL). Also, he is Senior Research Fellow at Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), heading the research unit "Open and User Innovation", at the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management. He is the principal investigator of the governmental funded project “Open Foresight” to enable excellent research.
Daniel’s research concentrates on problem solving within the digital ‘transformed’ society. He specializes in distributed product development in firms and communities as well as user-producer-collaboration. He has also edited the book (together with Prof. Cornelius Herstatt) “Open Source Innovation - The Phenomenon, Participant's Behavior, Business Implication” (Routeledge, 2015).
Prior to pursuing his research interests, he worked as management advisor within a leading consulting firm.
