 Devon Rojas is a PhD student in Sociology at Harvard. In his research, he aims to build deeper understandings of LGBTQ+ status and meaning within the workplace and beyond. He is interested in leveraging text data and natural language processing (NLP) techniques to draw out cultural meaning, and using this to explore the role of culture in shaping organizational inequality. He also intends to investigate the interplay of organizations and social movements in shaping inequality broadly. He hopes that his research will contribute to a greater awareness and understanding of the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals encounter, and the development of organizational tools and policies to combat LGBTQ+ discrimination.

 Prior to starting his studies, he was a Research Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in the Macro-Organizational Behavior department. He received his B.S. in Physics and a double minor in Computer Science and Mathematics from UCSD after transferring from San Diego Mesa College.
