Inés Crosas Remón
The analysis of political and social issues at an international level has been my primary field of research. My major interests rest on the understanding of how political, cultural and economic international exchanges affect the respect, promotion and protection of human rights. Particularly, I am keen on knowing how to deal with gender inequality and racism, taking advantage of the tools and mechanisms given by existing worldwide organizations and networks. So far I have undertaken systematic reviews on questions such as gender violence against disabled women or the impact of the China’s One Child Policy on the female activity rate.
I am currently a research collaborator at the Institute of Political and Social Sciences of Barcelona and I have cooperated with different human rights organizations, where I had the chance to monitor the meetings of the United Nations treaty bodies and human rights mechanisms
