Jennifer Kao is a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Policy at Harvard University. Her fields are public and labor economics, with a focus on the economics of science and innovation. Current projects include the role of public and private financing on research outcomes within academic medical centers, the role of clinical trials in promoting off-label drug use, and the impact of pharmaceutical mergers and acquisitions in shaping firm-level R&D decisions.
