Julie Anne Weaver
Julie Anne Weaver is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Government at Harvard University. Her research interests include local-level political participation, political accountability and citizen-state relations in developing countries, in particular in Latin America. Prior to Harvard, she worked in the field of international development, beginning her career in Sub-Saharan Africa, with long-term work in Rwanda and shorter-term positions bringing her to Mali, Zambia and Senegal. Her more recent work focuses on Latin America, where she spent the last four years in Lima, Peru working on politics and governance research. She has a B.A. in Sociology from Barnard College and an M.A. in International Development from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
