María del Pino Ramos Sosa
Mapi Ramos is a visiting student at the Department of Government at Harvard University and a visiting fellow at the IQSS. She is a PhD candidate in Economics at the Univerity of Málaga (Spain) and a research fellow at the Department of Economic Theory and Economic History, University of Málaga. Her interest fields are political economy, social choice and public economics. Her dissertation analyzes ambiguous parties' strategies, assembly democracy parties and voters' behavior under a game theoretic point of view. Her research interests include the demand of direct democracy from society, social movements and electronic voting. She is currently working on a project that examines the options of an ambiguous political party to win elections when the party also cares about representing the electorate. She received her B.A. in Economics from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University (Spain). She holds a Master in Economics from Pablo de Olavide University (Spain).
