Faculty affiliates: Apply for Funding
Faculty wishing to receive funding through the Undergraduate Scholars Program should fill out this survey form. After the application has been reviewed, an administrative member of the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program will be in contact.
For Students: Get Experience
Undergraduates interested in participating in the URS Program should check our Research Opportunities page to find out more about projects currently in need of researchers. To apply, send a resume and cover letter detailing relevant qualifications and experience to the contact person listed under the project description. Even if you do not see opportunities listed, you may still be able to participate by reaching out to faculty whose work is of interest to you to tell them about the URS program. Once approved for a grant, faculty can work with IQSS administrators to hire you and/or other undergraduates.
Undergraduates may also participate in the program more than once, and are encouraged to apply in consecutive terms to continue research programs or embark upon a new project. Please note that students involved in the URS Program are paid $18/hr and are expected to spend between three-five hours per week at a minimum, but often more than this, with their faculty sponsor and/or research group.
