Help Advance Health and Mobile Data Research in theDataMap Visualization Contest

The Data Privacy Lab offers you the opportunity to be a “visualization hero” with its recent launch of theDataMap Visualization Contest. theDataMap Visualization Contest is an opportunity to take the thousands of data sharing arrangements on theDataMap and show how the world of medical and mobile data sharing impacts you, your loved ones, and your community through new and innovative visualizations.

In order to participate, you must submit an original visualization demo and accompanying code submitted via online form (see link below). Participants of all experience levels are welcome, and may enter individually or in groups of two or three. The winning individual or team will be announced on January 7, 2019, and will win a free trip to Patient Privacy Rights (PPR) Foundation's Health Privacy Summit in Washington D.C on January 28-29, 2019.

The deadline to submit is December 28, 2018 at 11:59PM EST.

A research project in theData Privacy Lab at IQSS under the leadership of Professor Latanya Sweeney, theDataMap™ is an online portal for documenting flows of personal data. The goal is to produce a detailed description of personal data flows in the United States, with an aim toward helping journalists, advocates, regulators, policy makers, and researchers to better understand the current state of personal data sharing.
