IQSS Welcomes CGA's new Geospatial Developer

We are pleased to announce that Devika Kakkar has accepted the position of Geospatial Developer at the Center for Geographic Analysis (CGA). Devika has a Masters in Geodesy and Information Science from the Technical University of Berlin, and a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute in India.  Previously Devika has been a Geospatial Engineering Fellow at the CGA, and has worked on a variety of projects including air pollution data harvesting, sentiment analysis for the Billion Object Platform (BOP) project and more. Devika has technical experience on both Esri and Open Source GIS platforms. She will work on platform development and maintenance for WorldMap and BOP systems, as well as on other GIS projects.
