IQSS Welcomes New Executive Director Elizabeth Jackson

IQSS is pleased to welcome its new Executive Director, Elizabeth Jackson. Elizabeth joins us from both Greater Portland Health, Maine, and the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health.

Elizabeth has dedicated her career to work in alignment with the mission of IQSS. She served most recently as the Chief Administrative Officer of The Greater Portland Health Center, has provided health system and community strengthening efforts with partners in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and has led trauma-informed resilience trainings. Elizabeth has developed, implemented, and overseen health and education programs in several academic, community, public sector, and health settings. In her recent and previous work at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, she worked with partners across sub-Saharan Africa to train and support teams to translate proven research into the implementation of effective programs, and to build capacity building training networks across numerous countries. She has also worked at the World Health Organization, the Yale Global Health Leadership Institute, and the Harvard Global Health Institute. Elizabeth received her Masters in Public Health from Yale University and her Bachelors from Bates College.

Elizabeth will formally take her post on July 5, 2022. We look forward to working with her to advance the IQSS mission and its many programs and projects.
