Doctor Gaudin graduated from Medical School, Hamburg, Germany and defended his doctoral thesis in 2014. From January 2015 until June 2016 he was a research fellow at Harvard Medical School, Department of Facial Plastics MGH/MEEI working on the development of a Bionic Face in an animal model. Besides that he was working on  basic clinical studies. In July 2016 he started working as a resident at the University Clinic, Hamburg, Eppendorf, Germany at the Department Oral- Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery. Besides his residency he has started studying dentistry at the University of Kiel in October 2016. Since then, it was of great interest for doctor Gaudin to find out how well doctors do on rating dental x-rays, since it is the number one diagnostic tool in the clinic. Also, if it is possible to create a superhuman algorithm diagnosing pathologies to improve the doctor's rating process. This is how he got involved with the Lab of Karim Lakhani at Harvard. Besides that he is doing Research on 3D printing of tissue. Since February 2017 doctor Gaudin switched his residency position to the Department Oral- Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery, Charite, Berlin and continued his projects from there.
