Abhishek's research interests include Political Economy, Development Economics and Economic History. To answer questions in these areas, he is interested in developing tools and techniques that involve Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision aspects of Deep Learning.

He has previously worked as a Consultant at World Bank on projects related to local self-government and decentralisation in India and at Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi on projects related to female labour force participation and access to clean energy.

At Harvard, he is a pre-doctoral fellow working with Prof. Melissa Dell where he is involved in building deep learning pipelines to analyze novel data at scale to answer economic questions.
