Charlotte Duffee

Charlotte Duffee is a historian and philosopher of medicine focused on the evolution of Western ideas about suffering and their influence on American medicine. She completed her Ph.D. in the history and philosophy of science at the University of Toronto and holds additional degrees from the University of Toronto, the New School, and New York University. Her work has appeared in journals such as the American Journal of Bioethics, PAIN, Bioethics, the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences, and more.
