Christopher Kenny
Chris is a PhD Candidate in the Government Department. He studies American Politics and Political Methodology. Substantively, he focuses on legislative redistricting and electoral reform. Methodologically, Chris is interested in redistricting simulation algorithms, small area estimation, and ecological inference. His prior research looks at validating simulation methodologies and the effects of privacy protections on Census data. He is the coauthor of several R packages, notably redist, geomander, and PL94171.

Before coming to Harvard, Chris earned a BA in Mathematics and Government from Cornell University. He is a member of the Algorithm-Assisted Redistricting Methodology Project and is also affiliated with the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University.
