Derick da Silva Baum

Derick da Silva Baum is a doctoral student in Sociology at Harvard University. His research interests revolve around social network analysis, causal inference, and Bayesian statistics. In addition to his primary research project, which uses Bayesian inference to investigate personal network size, he has worked on methods for separating age, period, and cohort effects and helped develop a software package for estimating marginal structural models. He holds an AM in sociology from Harvard and a BA in sociology and mathematics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
