Emma Smith

Emma's research interests lie at the intersection of development and behavioral economics. Her current work focuses on understanding the role of social learning in eroding stigma and increasing mental health care-seeking among Syrian refugees in Jordan. She is also a co-founder of the Syrian Refugee Life Study, one of the first long-term longitudinal data collection efforts to survey a large, representative refugee sample and follow that sample over time.
