Huimin Wang

Huimin Wang is an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism and Communication at Nanjing Xiaozhuang University. She received her Ph.D. in Art Theory from Peking University, with a research focus on cultural industries and arts management.

Her research centers on cultural consumption, cultural industries, and cross-cultural communication, with a particular interest in the role of trust in cultural production and consumption in the digital age. More recently, her work has expanded to examine the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on cultural creation, dissemination, and audience engagement.

As a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, she is affiliated with the China Biographical Database Project (CBDB) at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS). Her current research focuses on the digital humanities, especially the use of computational methods to study local cultural history. Drawing on large-scale historical data, including the Jiangsu Yiwen Zhi (江苏艺文志), she explores the historical evolution of regional cultural networks, patterns of cultural production, and their implications for contemporary cultural communication.
