Manuel is a PhD student in the Harvard Government Department. He studies the comparative political economy of development, with an emphasis on political parties, the politics of violence, and how the two interact. His regional focus is on Latin America. Originally from El Salvador, Manuel has an AB from Harvard (2016) and an MSc from Oxford (2017).
