Mitsuru Mukaigawara

Mitsuru Mukaigawara is a PhD student in Government at Harvard University. Prior to graduate school, he worked globally both as an infectious disease doctor and a policy analyst, from a remote island in southern Japan to the World Health Organization headquarters. He studies international relations, with a focus on the interaction between disease epidemics and international security. He received an MD from Tokyo Medical and Dental University and an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School, where he was an inaugural Graham T. Allison, Jr. Student Fellow and a recipient of the Robert Belfer Annual Award for the best master's thesis in international relations.
