Victor Yang
Victor Yang is a sophomore from Boston, MA living in Leverett House. He is concentrating in Computer Science with a secondary in Psychology. He is working on the project "Harnessing machine learning to understand change in social attitudes" with PhD students Benedek Kurdi and Tessa Charlesworth in Professor Mahzarin R. Banaji's lab. The project attempts to use word embedding data from a large set of writings to analyze how people's biases have changed over time and how these biases develop within children. Victor is interested in conducting research at the intersection of computer science and other fields. Outside of research, he is a co-president of Harvard's Engineers Without Borders chapter.
