Department of Linguistics, GSAS
Yujing Huang is a doctoral student in the Department of Linguistics. She is interested in how different components of language interact. Her research interest includes how meaning is expressed via syntactic structure (that is, the syntax-semantics interface) and how sound structure interacts with this structure as well (i.e., the phoNology-syntax interface). Her approach to these questions is mainly experimental. She is currently working on an eye-tracking experiment with adults on the interpretation of verbal arguments. She is also working on a tonal dialect in China.
