A look at the IQSS Community, through a quantitative lens.

We write to update you about the impact of the FAS Workforce Planning effort on the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS), and the novel role that IQSS will play in the new structure. 

This year’s Nature Index ranks Harvard as #1 in the world in its first list of top 10 social science research institutions, with a particular spotlight on IQSS and the Henry A. Murray Research Archive.

IQSS affiliate Mahzarin Banaji, Richard Clarke Cabot Professor of Social Ethics in the Department of Psychology, is among the Carnegie Foundation's 2026 Class of Great Immigrants.
