Emma Ebowe
PhD Candidate Government Department
Emma Ebowe is a PhD candidate in the Government department with a secondary field in African and African American Studies. Her research interests in political theory are at the intersections of public policy, feminist theory and black political thought in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her current dissertation research focuses on the welfare state, social infrastructure and racial disparities in foster care. In political methodology she is interested in the racial impacts of partisan gerrymandering in the United States.
Emma is a member of the Algorithm-Assisted Redistricting Methodology Project and is affiliated with the Center for American Political Studies, Center for European Studies, Safra Center for Ethics, and the Stone Program in Wealth Distribution, Inequality & Social Policy at Harvard University.
