JB Jong-Beom Lim
JB (Jong-Beom) Lim is a PhD student in Government at Harvard University, studying international relations and political methodology. His research explores how interdependence and technological change shape the international political economy, with a focus on the role of domestic interest groups. Methodologically, he is interested in causal inference, machine learning, and latent representation learning.
Before graduate school, he worked across academia and industry using large-scale text, image, and audio data to address questions in computational social science. He also completed his honors thesis with the Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation (CISAC) and served as a squad leader in the Republic of Korea Army. He received an MS in Computer Science and a BAS with honors in Mathematical and Computational Science and International Relations from Stanford University.
