Mehmet Durmaz

Mehmet Durmaz is a master's student at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies. Before joining Harvard, he completed his undergraduate studies in Economics and History at Boğaziçi University. Mehmet's research interests include understanding how political-economic institutions mediate between economic changes and political outcomes during democratic backsliding, as well as the relationship between these institutions and specific regime outcomes.
